Our founders are born travelers, just like you. After countless activities and tours, we longed for something truly authentic and simple...the local experience as one might call it. No frills, no overly curated experiences – just a normal activity exactly as the locals do every day. However, we found it challenging. Who do we ask? Where do we go? And more importantly, how do we find out what a real local experience even is?

Hence, we founded Wave.

Wave was founded on the idea that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Every day, countless numbers of locals go about their daily lives: from visiting the wet market to haggle for morning groceries, to kick-starting the engine of a rickety boat to catch the morning fish. These experiences, as mundane as they may seem to locals, bring awe and wonder to visitors from all around the world. We realized that the true local experience wasn't one that could be researched, but rather the everyday ordinary activities that locals go through day in, day out. That was when we set out to build Wave, the platform that allows explorers from all over the world to experience the true local life, one Wave at a time.
